Seventh Grade Contour Practice

Students from 7A got to practice their blind contour drawing skills this week, and students from 7B will be up next week. We learned about how to improve our hand-eye coordination using a drawing technique called blind contour drawing. With this technique, you only look at the object you are drawing-not at your paper. You try to move your pencil as you move your eye, and you never pick up your pencil. These drawings look silly, and the students have a silly fun time while doing them, but the more we work on this type of coordination the  better the students' drawing skills will be. Here are some of the students' work from 7A art this week.
