Fifth Grade is Creating Texture
Last week, fifth grade learned about different ways they can use pattern, line, and value to create visual texture. We looked at the work of Jasper Johns who mostly uses the way he paints to create his texture, but also has some work done with line. The students began working on a picture of their names this week, but if you look at these pictures, you may not be able to see the names in them. The goal of this project is to hide their name by creating a different texture in each box. The students still need some more time to work on these, so I will post pictures next week!
