Second Grade and Shapes

Second grade reviewed the basic shapes this week. First, we learned about all different types of shapes and the students had a whole class to draw as many things as they could by putting shapes together. Students drew many things from people to robots, to houses and more! 2B brought these pictures home yesterday. 2A will bring them home next week.

After learning about shapes, the next time we had class we worked on a project using shapes. Students cut shapes out of tin foil, glued them on their paper, and drew lines around the shapes. They will be working on these projects next week to finish them up, but here are some of them so far.
